My Elhassan Elkarimi is an M.D. clinical pharmacologist. He received his doctorate of medicine from Université Hassan II in Morocco. Subsequently Dr Elkarimi achieved a Postdoctoral Residency Training in Clinical Pharmacology at the University Hospital Averroes, in Morocco. His extra curriculum training has included participation in clinical trials, training in different sections of Uppsala Monitoring Center in Sweden and attending MedDRA courses.
Currently, Dr Elkarimi is working for the Poison Control and Pharmacovigilance Center of Morocco, a WHO Collaborating Center for Strengthening Pharmacovigilance Practices, for more than five years, where he performs the whole process of pharmacovigilance from collecting adverse drug reactions to signal detection. Dr Elkarimi has a strong familiarity with MedDRA coding and E2B/XML system.
Prior to joining pharmacovigilance activities, Dr Elkarimi has served as a Head Physician of an outlying First line health center and as an Emergency room physician in a First-level hospital.
Dr Elkarimi has attended several conferences and forums regionally and internationally where he presented papers focusing on pharmacovigilance.
Dr Elkarimi is single and spends his spare time in reading, jogging and travelling.
