By profession, a Bachelor in Pharmacyand Associate of Institute of Chemist (India)with 50 years’ experiencein pharmaceutical industry.Deeply connected and engaged with growth and development of pharmaceutical market of Africa sincelast three decades.As Course Coordinator of INTERNATIONAL TRADE (AFRICA) at the CENTER for AFRICAN STUDIES, University of Mumbai, established bridge of understanding between Indian Pharmaceutical industry and academicians / research workers to draw the contours of India’s engagement as viable developmental partner in Africa particularly in the context of low cost generics in addition to allocating resources for enhancing co-operation.As marketing professional, gained exposure and opportunities in Nigeria while assigned as Managing Director of IPCA Pharma Nigeria Ltd ,particularly in upholding the policy of Federal Government to fight against the scourge of malaria.It was the first opportunity of introducing Artemisinin combination therapy.Prior to this, more avenues were explored in Southern Africa, East Africa and West Africa as Vice President,IPCA Laboratories Ltd. for Middle East and Africa both in institutional and private market.Apart from Africa, immensely benefited by the marketing opportunities in South East Asia and Indian domestic markets while associated with Pfizer Ltd, Hoechst Pharmaceutical Ltd, Lyka Labs Ltd.
